With 4 bedrooms and 2 spacious bathrooms, our 300 year old stone built traditional mountain farmhouse will welcome you with warmth and hospitality. Situated in the heart of the regional park of the Ariege Pyrenees, the house is cool in summer and warm in winter due to its thick stone wall (and double glazing)!
Note: Pool was put in last summer during a very serious drought but it's noow all grass.
This house was designed and built to last and to weather all that nature could throw at it, winter and summer!
3 double bedrooms en suite and 1 family dormitory room with a double bed and two singles plus a put-you-up should it be required. On the ground floor there is a bed settee for 2 extra places.
Whilst very traditional our house has all the modern facilities you expect including high-speed wifi to keep you connected.
Unlike so many properties in the area we are high enough not to have mosquitos. Maybe 1 per year! Sitting out in the evening is a pleasure and not a battle of the chemists!
The children's play area has a swing, a trampoline, a plunge pool, and a zip wire. In addition, the play area leads to a ford in the river which is a wonderful place to cool off and have a picnic in the summer.
Sports popular here are hiking, mountain biking, road cycling (le tour de France comes by here almost every year), horse riding, climbing, trout and carp fishing, paragliding, canyoning, white water rafting, skiing, go karting and many many more. All the above pursuits are available a maximum one hour from the house.
